Open Play Events

We collaborate with local businesses to host open play events, bringing the Mahj community together to connect, socialize, and enjoy the game.

Tickets are available for both individual players and full tables of four. These events are intended for players with prior Mahjong experience, who are already familiar with the tiles and National Mah Jongg League card. If you are brand new to the game, we recommend you take lessons prior to joining an open play event.

The Mahj Co. will provide all necessary equipment for the event, including tiles, mats, and racks. Please bring your own NMJL card for open play. A limited number of extra cards will be available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. You can purchase your card directly from the NMJL here, or support a local business by picking one up at Elm Street Books!
